Uploading Images to Inkifi (USA)

When you're creating a photo book, frame, or print, the first step is uploading your images. Inkifi works directly in your web browser, so you can upload photos straight from your phone or computer — no app download required.

We recommend taking a moment to select your favorite images first, and add them to your Favorites folder. It makes the design process simpler and more enjoyable.

1. Uploading Photos from Your Phone

You can upload images directly from your iPhone or Android device.

How to upload from your phone:

  1. On the product page, tap Customize.
  1. Once the editor opens, tap the photo icon in the bottom toolbar.
  1. Tap Upload Photos.
  1. Select images from your Camera Roll / Photo Library.
  1. Confirm your selection. The images will begin uploading.

Tip: Select multiple photos at once — it saves time.

If prompted for permission:

When your phone asks whether the browser can access your photos, choose Allow Access to All Photos.

2. Uploading Photos from Your Computer

If your photos are stored on a laptop or desktop, uploading is quick and flexible.

How to upload from your computer:

  1. On the product page, click Customize.
  1. In the editor, click Upload Photos (top-left corner).
  1. Drag-and-drop images into the upload window, or click Browse to select files.
  1. Wait for the upload to finish — larger files may take slightly longer.

Importing Photos From Your Phone While Using a Computer

If your photos are on your phone but you're designing on your computer, there's a fast way to transfer them.

  1. In the editor (on desktop), click Upload Photos.
  1. Select Import Photos from Your Phone.
  1. A QR code will appear.
  1. Scan the QR code with your phone.
  1. Select photos on your phone and they will upload directly into your project.

This is usually the fastest method if your images are on your phone but you prefer designing on a bigger screen.

3. Recommended File Formats & Quality

Note on image previews: The editor intentionally displays a lower‑resolution preview to keep everything fast while you design. Your final printed product always uses your original full‑quality image.

Your prints will only look as good as the images you upload. Here’s what works best:

FormatRecommendedNotes
JPG / JPEG✅ Best choiceIdeal for mobile and DSLR photos
PNG✅ SupportedGood for images with text or graphics
HEIC (iPhone default)✅ SupportedWe convert automatically when needed

Resolution guidance:

  • Minimum 1200px on the shortest edge
  • Higher resolution = sharper prints

If a photo is too small for the size you’re printing, the builder will show a resolution warning. You can still use the image, but it may appear soft or slightly blurry when printed.

4. Troubleshooting Common Upload Issues

Slow upload times?

  • Large files (especially from newer iPhones) can take longer.
  • Switching to Wi‑Fi usually speeds this up.

Image appears rotated?

  • Rotate within the editor — it won’t affect quality.

Photo looks blurry in the preview?

  • The preview in the editor is lower‑resolution for speed.
  • The final printed result uses your original full‑quality image.

Upload failed?

Try these quick fixes:

  1. Refresh the page and reopen your project.
  1. Ensure your internet connection is stable.
  1. Re-upload just the images that failed.
